1. We’re all mad here.
句意：我们全都疯了。
分析：这是《爱丽丝梦游仙境》里Cheshire Cat（柴郡猫）与Alice（爱丽丝）的经典对白。
Mad是疯狂的意思，在剧中柴郡猫说的We’re all mad here中带有一些无奈，表达这就是我们的生活的意思。
例句：
We’re all mad about Einstein.
我们所有人都为爱因斯坦而疯狂。（来自物理系的学生）
2. Why is a raven like a writing desk?
句意：为何乌鸦像桌子？
分析：在the March Hare’s（三月兔）的疯茶会上，The Mad Hatter（疯帽子先生）用一个谜语回答爱丽丝关于粗鲁的问题。
这是西方非常著名的一个无法回答的小说谜语，作者Lewis Carroll曾提及过一个谜底“because it can produce a few notes, though they are very flat; and it is never put with the wrong end in front.”据说，《爱丽丝梦游仙境》的初稿中，作者把“never”拼写成“nevar”，所以“nevar”成了“raven”的倒写。

3. Off with her head!
句意：剁掉她的脑袋！
分析：爱丽丝第一次见到Queen of Hearts（红心皇后）时，爱丽丝自我介绍完，皇后问她关于三个扑克牌园丁躺在地上的事，但爱丽丝很随意地表示不认识他们，红心皇后就变得愤怒，向爱丽丝尖叫“Off with her head!（剁掉她的脑袋）”。一般是上权者下达命令。这故事里，“off with her head”及“off with his head”可以说是红心皇后的口头禅。
除了《爱丽丝梦游仙境》，这一句话在莎士比亚的《亨利六世》中也时常出现。

4. Well, I never heard it before, but it sounds uncommon nonsense.
句意：我以前从来没有听说过（这首诗），可是它听上去都是胡说八道。
分析：当爱丽丝告诉The Mock Turtle（假海龟）和the Gryphon（鹰头狮）一天的冒险经历，她复述了"TIS THE VOICE OF THE SLUGGARD（这是懒汉的声音）"这首诗，但假海龟表示：Well, I never heard it before, but it sounds uncommon nonsense.
Uncommon：罕见的、非凡的
Nonsense：胡说、荒谬的
5. You’re nothing but a pack of cards!
句意：你不过是一堆桥牌而已！
分析：在法庭现场，爱丽丝和红心皇后争论判决顺序时，当爱丽丝意识到自己又恢复了正常的身材，于是叫了起来：You’re nothing but a pack of cards!
这句话的句型是：nothing but，意为“仅仅、只有”
例句：
He heard nothing but the echoes of his own voice.
他只听见了自己的回音。
6. Speak English! I don’t know the meaning of half those long words, and I don’t believe you do either!
句意：请说英文，这些词都挺长，我连一半都没听懂，而且我相信你自己也不懂！
分析：爱丽丝和许多动物从湖里游出来，在岸上讨论如何晾干，但是渡渡鸟却说商业会议的事情，旁边的小鹰吐槽说：Speak English! I don’t know the meaning of half those long words, and I don’t believe you do either!
当两个都说英语的人在聊天，其中一方说“Speak English”、“English please”时，表明他/她没搞懂对方在说什么，有点像“可不可以说人话”的意思。
